Bahrain tackles domestic violence

I never thought that I would see anything like this- where an Arabian state is admitting that it has a problem with domestic violence (like everyone else), and seeking to do something about it.

Yet, according to Gulf Daily News, the voice of Bahrain, exactly that has happened with a conference in Bahrain tackling issues of domestic violence, and with another scheduled in July. Good on them! Importantly, the conference organisers have made sure that along with the usual attendees, they have had Islamic scholars and MP's attend.
