NZ National Disabilities Coalition Against Violence

A national network of people with a disability has been established in New Zealand to address issues of family and domestic violence (2008, ‘New Disabilities Coalition Against Violence’, New Zealand Family Violence Clearinghouse News, vol 4 issue 1, p. 2, Among its first tasks, the NNSVS Disabilities Coalition Against Violence will advocate for more New Zealand research around the prevalence of domestic and family violence in disability communities, seek funding for training workers and comment on relevant legislation.
